Unlike many media organisations, Eureka Street doesn't use paywalls. We believe in making the work of our writers as free and accessible as possible.
But there are costs. In particular - and in contrast to many other online publications - we pay our contributors. After all, Eureka Street simply could not exist without the talents, expertise and sheer hard work of our writers and illustrators.
In lieu of paywalls, we rely almost entirely on donations from our readers and organisations that support our endeavours. If you enjoyed this article, please consider making a donation. Every little bit helps us in our efforts to bring a distinctive, values-based take on the issues and events that matter in our world.
Brilliant cartoon, Fiona, in every detail. Thanks for so eloquently illustrating the thoughts of (surely) everybody! Is it possible for me to put it on my Facebook page? I don't see anywhere which lets me know about copyright. Thanks, Patsy Patsy Crotty | 20 April 2016
Fiona, you have summed up the issue of Bronwyn Bishop's retirement perfectly. Thank you - you have given me something to smile about. The problem with Bishop, like many others in the "Liberal", National and right and pseudo wings of the ALP, they think that they were born to rule and that can take whatever bonuses they think they are entitled to. Let us hope that ordinary Australians during the coming federal elections give their priority votes to candidates who are devoted to social justice, human rights, fairness in international relations, working for ordinary people and care for the environment. Brilliant, Fiona but I wish it was not so true. paula kelly | 20 April 2016
Hi Patsy, Glad you like the cartoon and feel free to share it on Facebook. Just be sure to mention where you saw it (that's not a copyright rule but it's good to give ES a bit of publicity!) fiona Katauskas | 20 April 2016
Hi Patsy, Glad you like the cartoon and feel free to share it on Facebook! If you can credit it me and to mention where you saw it (that's not a copyright rule but it's good to give ES a bit of publicity!) that'd be great. Cheers, Fiona fiona Katauskas | 20 April 2016
It's perfect Fiona, and I note Ms Bishop is not using choppers anymore. I expect to see this cartoon in "Behind the Lines" at Old Parliament House next year. It is a classic! Brett | 20 April 2016
