We mustn't take for granted the courage this admission took coming from such a committed atheist. While noting science can 'dismiss anomalous 'mystical' experiences', she wrestles her discontent into submission by boldly declaring that it 'is not unscientific to search for what may not be there'.

    ‘I don’t like middle class people very much,’ said Joe Bageant in an interview for the documentary Deer Hunting with Jesus. Bageant championed the cause of  the ‘white redneck’, a social group he saw as being one of the most marginalised and disenfranchised in America.
