Of all the crazy ideas.

There are thousands of refugees so desperate to seek asylum in Australia that they are willing to risk their own lives and those of their children to get here. Politicians, both Liberals and Labor have devised a way to stop them. “Lock them up in camps without any hope of a future, so they are driven to self harm and suicide. That should deter others.” Not only do they feel no shame about this unjust and inhumane program, but they boast about it, cover it weasel words and offer it as a model for other countries to embrace.

Demand a National Day of cringe.borders drawn in place by mere mortals are an offence to humankind. If trade protection is bad, mr Turnbull, not protecting and instead persecuting persecuted human beings is wicked, inhumane, obscene.

Harsh, Fiona! You can be very harsh - but spot on. I feel ashamed to be Australian sometimes.
