Eliphaz, Bildad or Zophar?

The undervaluing of the Humanities - in the current instance, it seems, for supposedly economic reasons - diminishes the capacity for informed debate, interesting conversation and artistic expression in a range of forms. Rodin's Penseur would raise his voice in protest, with plenty of support, at the blind pursuit of scientism encouraged by the new Vandals.

A brilliant cartoon. So apt. We live in sad times, John RD.

Yes, Gillian, indeed we do. Brendan Behan's words come to mind: "It's a quare old world, God knows, but the best for now we've got to be goin' on with."
