Well expressed, Fiona. Out of the three elements - fear of Muslims, a crazy gun culture, and religious bigotry toward gays - Trump chose Muslims, while others claimed it was an attack on 'all of us' or 'freedom', neatly sidestepping the dangerous effects of religious moralising on the sinfulness of 'deviant' sexuality.

Thanks again Fiona - your creative ability to express these heartfelt feelings is a tonic and a challenge.

Thank you Fiona for making the elements so clear. I've never understood the schizophrenic attitude our society has regarding the seemingly approval of violence in every aspect of life but refuse to embrace the notion of love, sexuality & intimacy.
