The scale of the problem

In the Fiona Katauskas cartoon, under the subheading, 'In the balance...' Themis pulls up her blindfold with an aghast expression. On one side of the scale is Israel's military might, and on the other is a few rockets from Palestine.

Always continues to surprise me that a nation that has endured so many pogroms , holocausts and hate can react this way when they know what is like to be oppressed and without a thier own sovereign land so many times . When the great, late Australian , Zionist Isi Lielber didnt approve of the present leadership or extreme religious right stealing land from the Palestinians you know their is a great tide of opinion inside Israel that wants the peace accords of earlier governments to work .
