‘When the science isn’t in’, faith is the difference between ‘Cons: Totally unproven and seems dodgy’ and ‘Pros: It’s worth a shot’. (Speaking of ‘faith’, infiltrating the sovereign border of the past may have unknown practical consequences for which, the consequences being in Donald Rumsfeld’s terminology ‘known unknowns’, the precise moral responsibility of the time traveller will be unknown but the responsibility itself known as something to be expected.)
